Education and Outreach
WHOLE ME, Inc. provides information and support for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students and families in the areas of educational planning, IDEA, rights and responsibilities, IEP meetings, etc.
Transition and Employment Services
WHOLE ME, Inc. works closely with ACCES-VR to provide transition support for students as they leave high school to enter college or the workforce and for adults who want to go back to school or obtain employment. These services include:
- Assistance applying for ACCES-VR services
- Assistance with SSI/SSD, Medicaid, WIC, Food Stamps, and Public Assistance
- Assistance applying for Adult Education and GED Classes
- Job Preparation and Training
- American with Disabilities Advocacy & Rights Awareness
Professional Development Workshops
WHOLE ME, Inc. works closely with the Central New York Chapter of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf to provide educational workshops and continuing education opportunities for professionally certified and qualified sign language interpreters.
WHOLE ME, Inc. also provides professional development workshops for educators of the Deaf, emergency responders, law enforcement, healthcare professionals, childcare professionals, employers, etc.
American Sign Language Classes
WHOLE ME, Inc. offers beginning and intermediate sign language classes throughout the year. Please call our office for class times and schedules!
